JOURNYX NAMES WILLIAM LEAKE VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING AND SALES

Former McKinsey & Co. Consultant Brings Extensive Strategic and Business Development Skills to Journyx

AUSTIN, Texas, USA, - August 2, 1998 - Journyx, the worldwide leader in web-based time tracking solutions, today announced that William Leake has been named vice president of marketing and sales, where he will oversee product management, marketing communications efforts, strategic development, and product sales. For the past two years, Leake headed both international sales and domestic channel development for internet security vendor Haystack Labs and, following Haystack's acquisition by firewall leader Trusted Information Systems (TIS) in October 1997, directed all business development for TIS in Canada and Latin America (Rest of Americas). At Haystack, he was responsible for more than 65 percent of total corporate revenues, and grew both domestic and international channels more than 10-fold during his tenure, which allowed the company to be acquired on very favorable terms.

Prior to Haystack, from 1995-1996 Leake served in senior roles at Power Computing Corporation, where he was a key member of the team that grew the former Macintosh clonemaker. Leake arrived when there were fewer 25 employees, and by the time he left for Haystack, Power Computing had grown to more than 500 employees.

Before arriving on the Austin technology scene, Leake worked at McKinsey & Co., a management consultancy, for four years, where he was responsible for numerous strategic recommendations to senior Fortune 500 executives.

Leake graduated from Yale University with a double major in economics and history. He also holds an MBA with concentrations in finance and marketing from the University of Texas, Austin, where he graduated with high honors.
